Nokia has rolled out a major updates for its Asha platform phones Asha 230, Asha 500, Asha 501, Asha 502 and Asha 503, both single and dual-SIM variant.
The update brings in MixRadio, better camera, re-tweets feature, Facebook likes function, parental control and OneDrive support.
Nokia MixRadio: It enables the free, personalized music streaming service. Mixes can be either streamed through a data connection or downloaded and stored on phone for listening pleasure whenever you're offline.
Camera improvement: With the new imaging enhancements in the Asha update, it can now take selfie with voice-guided self-portrait feature. Panorama feature has also been added in this update.
Microsoft OneDrive: With this latest update, Nokia Asha will be able to automatically or manually upload stuff to Microsoft OneDrive. There's 7GB of free storage.
Fastlane: Re-tweets and Facebook likes now pop up in Fastlane, as do friends' birthdays.
Parental control: Its new parental controls, one can use a special password or PIN code to control the browser and Store access, putting a stop to unwanted downloads or unexpectedly high data charges.
How to Update
These updates are free and are available over-the-air (OTA). You will see a push notification from Nokia on your phone when the update is ready. In case you have not received it or cannot see the notification, simply go to Settings->Phone Update to check.
